Mountain building and crustal deformation. Stress and strain, P-T-t paths in mountain belts, role of mountain building in plate tectonics.
Prerequisites: GEOL 202; PHYS 201 or 211 or consent of instructor.
Note: Includes laboratory and recitation. Required field trips. Taught alternate years.
